A highlight of his attendance was his literal involvement in the kitchen, where he personally 'cooked' and demonstrated his own culinary skills to the delight of the crowd. He humorously noted that his dish "tasted fantastic," adding to the festive mood that was characterized by good music, plentiful laughter, and overall fun. This hands-on approach brought a personal touch to the celebration.

The Governor emphasized that the Food Festival is more than just an exhibition of food; it’s a powerful demonstration of the authentic energy, music, and distinct 'vibe' of Lagos. He acknowledged the youthful spirit of the city, saying, "As the young people would say, involve me," underscoring his desire to be part of the city's cultural pulse.

He affirmed that the city possesses "a spirit you cannot fake," and that events like the Food Festival are critical in showcasing why "Lagos is Lagos" a place defined by its vibrancy, expression, and cultural richness. The festival successfully brought together food enthusiasts, vendors, and families for a day of communal celebration.
