Sanwo-Olu Hosts Wyclef Jean, Miss Earth Queens at Lagos House

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday welcomed Haitian-American musician Wyclef Jean and reigning Miss Earth queens to Lagos House, Marina, during their courtesy visit ahead of the E1 Championship Fashion Showcase and Experience.
The visit, which brought together global icons and environmental advocates, was part of efforts to highlight Lagos’ growing influence in sustainability, culture, and entertainment. The delegation included Miss Earth 2024 Jessica Lane and Miss Earth Water Bea Millan-Windorski, who commended Lagos for its initiatives promoting a greener and more sustainable environment.

Governor Sanwo-Olu described the meeting as another example of Lagos’ openness to global partnerships that celebrate innovation, art, and environmental consciousness. He said the state remains committed to advancing projects that position Lagos as Africa’s hub for creativity and eco-friendly growth.
Wyclef Jean, who has been in Lagos for a series of engagements connected to the E1 Lagos Grand Prix and Blue Economy Summit, praised the governor’s vision and expressed his admiration for Nigeria’s vibrant youth and artistic potential.
The Miss Earth queens also lauded Lagos’ leadership for integrating sustainability into its development agenda, emphasizing that the state’s growing reputation as a green and cultural hub reflects its commitment to global environmental goals.
The courtesy visit rounded off with photo sessions and exchanges of gifts, symbolizing collaboration between Lagos State and the Miss Earth Foundation toward promoting environmental awareness through fashion and entertainment..
