The Opening Night of the Lagos International Theatre Festival (LITF) 2025 brought together top dignitaries, cultural icons, and creative industry stakeholders at the MUSON Centre, Onikan. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, led the distinguished list of attendees, reaffirming the State Government’s unwavering support for the creative and cultural sectors.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, also graced the event, highlighting the ministry’s dedication to promoting Lagos as a premier destination for artistic innovation and cultural excellence. Her presence further underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening creative expressions and supporting platforms that showcase local talent.


A key highlight of the night was a major showcase by the African Movie Channel (AMC), which featured compelling works that reflect the richness of Nollywood and the depth of African storytelling.
