PS, Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment Visits Senator Oluremi Tinubu Industrial Leather Hub, Commends Initiative

As part of her ongoing familiarisation tour of the Ministry’s infrastructure projects, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs. Lolade Aina, paid a working visit to the newly commissioned Senator Oluremi Tinubu Industrial Leather Hub located in Matori, Lagos. She was accompanied by top directors from the Ministry during the inspection.

During the visit, Mrs. Aina praised the vision behind the establishment of the hub, describing it as a bold and progressive step toward revitalising the leather industry in Lagos State. She noted that the initiative aligns with the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable enterprise development.
The Permanent Secretary also expressed satisfaction with the level of work done and the operational structure of the facility, adding that the hub serves as a model for skill acquisition and job creation. The visit, she said, provided valuable insight into how the hub contributes to expanding the leather value chain and promoting local craftsmanship.
She further highlighted the importance of continuous collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing the creative and manufacturing industries. According to her, the Ministry will continue to support programmes and initiatives that equip young entrepreneurs with relevant skills for economic self-reliance.
