Representing the state government, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, attended the gala alongside Permanent Secretary Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila. Their presence underscored the government's commitment to the "Creative Economy Boom" currently driving Lagos’s exports.
The evening celebrated the entire Nollywood value chain, recognizing the hard work of practitioners who have elevated the industry’s global standing. It was a night of glitz and glamour, reflecting the vibrancy and cultural depth that Nigeria’s film industry brings to the international stage.
Several competitive awards were handed out, including prestigious nods for Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director. Special attention was also given to technical categories such as Costume Design and the rising stars in the Best Child Actor categories, showcasing the depth of talent within the industry.

As the ceremony concluded, the impact of Nollywood on the local economy was clear. The event served as a reminder that storytelling is not just an art form in Lagos, but a powerful engine for innovation, professionalism, and national pride.
