The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has announced a renewed focus on partnership to enhance regional security. General Manager Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan reaffirmed this commitment during the inaugural State-Federal Parastatals Summit. The summit, held on January 7 at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, was designed to improve governance and accountability across government levels.

Prince Oyekan highlighted that the LNSA is undergoing a significant rebranding phase to better meet modern safety challenges. This includes the creation of specialized units tailored to specific security needs within Lagos communities. He emphasized that the agency's success depends on its ability to work seamlessly with federal and local government counterparts.

The General Manager praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for initiating the summit, noting its alignment with the state's reform agenda. By professionalizing public institutions, the state aims to create a more efficient and transparent governance structure. Prince Oyekan believes this summit will bridge the gap between various parastatals for more effective service delivery.

Operational efficiency and "people-centered" security were key themes of his address. He argued that accountability is non-negotiable when it comes to protecting the lives and property of residents. The LNSA aims to be a model of excellence in community policing through these collaborative efforts.

The summit concluded with a shared vision for a safer Lagos through integrated intelligence and resource sharing. Prince Oyekan expressed confidence that these new relationships would yield immediate improvements in security services. The move signals a more unified approach to law enforcement and public safety in the state.
