The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and key stakeholders, has launched the 2nd Edition of the Resilience Sensitization Workshops for public secondary schools across the six Education Districts of Lagos State. The initiative aims to cultivate a culture of resilience among Lagos youth, equipping them with the skills to face the challenges of modern urban life.

The sensitization workshops commenced on Wednesday at Immaculate Heart Senior Comprehensive High School, Maryland, Ikeja, representing Education District II, and continued on Thursday at Dolphin Senior Secondary School, Lagos Island, for Education District III. Other districts are set to participate on scheduled dates, ensuring a wide-reaching impact across the state.
This programme is strategically designed to strengthen students’ capacities to manage social, environmental, psychological, and economic challenges. By exposing students to resilience concepts early, LASRO aims to foster a generation that can adapt, thrive, and contribute positively to Lagos’ dynamic society.
Officials emphasized the importance of collaboration with schools, educators, and community stakeholders in ensuring the workshops are effective and far-reaching. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, students are encouraged to develop problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.

The Resilience Sensitization Workshops represent a proactive step by the Lagos State Government to prepare youth for an increasingly complex world. By embedding resilience into education, LASRO continues to champion the development of well-rounded, confident, and resilient young citizens ready to meet future challenges.
