LASPARK Team Pays Courtesy Visit To New TG/PS Of Education District II

The management team of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has paid a courtesy visit to the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, at the District Headquarters in Maryland, Lagos. The visit was aimed at congratulating Mr. Sanni on his appointment and strengthening collaboration between LASPARK and the Education District in promoting environmental sustainability across schools in Lagos State.

Leading the delegation, Mrs. Olayinka Oladini, the Greener Lagos Manager, highlighted that the visit was part of LASPARK’s efforts to advance its mandate of establishing and maintaining functional parks, gardens, and recreational centres across the state. She explained that the initiative aligns with the Agency’s vision of fostering a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment for all residents.
In her remarks, Mrs. Oladini commended the successive administrations of Education District II for their continued partnership and support over the years. She expressed confidence that the cordial relationship between both institutions would be further strengthened under Mr. Sanni’s leadership. She was accompanied by Mrs. Onatunde, Mr. Sulaiman, and other key members of the LASPARK team who reiterated the Agency’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness among students.
Responding, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, expressed gratitude to the LASPARK team for their thoughtful visit and commended the Agency’s remarkable achievements in environmental beautification and sustainability across Lagos State. He described the Agency’s work as essential to improving the city’s aesthetics and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Mr. Sanni further assured the delegation of the District’s unwavering support and collaboration with LASPARK, emphasizing that building a greener Lagos requires collective effort. He noted that the District remains committed to integrating environmental education and sustainable practices into school activities, thereby nurturing environmentally conscious students who will contribute to the State’s long-term development goals.
