The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, hosted international superstar and Grammy Award-winning artist, Ciara Princess Wilson, at Meko Lagos, Ikoyi. The warm reception marked the beginning of Ciara’s exciting engagement with Lagos’ vibrant fashion and cultural landscape.

Ciara’s visit comes as part of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of Lagos Fashion Week, a milestone event that highlights the city’s evolution as Africa’s fashion capital. Organized in collaboration with the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the event showcases the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit driving Nigeria’s fashion industry to global heights.
Speaking during the reception, Commissioner Benson-Awoyinka commended the organizers of Lagos Fashion Week for their contribution to promoting Lagos as a creative hub.
