A member of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Board, Dr. Olusegun Agbaje, has urged school principals to take full control of their institutions and ensure the effective deploy8ment of teachers in achieving the State Government’s educational objectives.

Dr. Agbaje, who represents Epe Division on the TESCOM board, made the call while monitoring teacher activities in several schools across the Epe Division. His visit aimed to assess the performance and readiness of staff to deliver quality education to students.
He emphasized that school principals play a pivotal role in driving educational standards and must proactively manage teachers and school operations to ensure alignment with the state’s academic goals.
According to Dr. Agbaje, the monitoring exercise aligns with TESCOM’s mandate to regularly oversee teachers’ activities in post-primary schools across Lagos State. The commission also evaluates teachers’ preparedness and commitment to their responsibilities, fostering accountability and improved learning outcomes.

The initiative reinforces TESCOM’s dedication to strengthening post-primary education in Lagos, promoting a culture of leadership, discipline, and excellence among school principals and teaching staff.
