Lagos State Governor Supports Youth Innovation at Zenith Bank Tech Fair 5.0

Lagos State Governor joined Jim Ovia, Founder of Zenith Bank, and Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON, at the Zenith Bank Tech Fair 5.0, themed “Future Forward: Tech for Success – Innovate, Adapt, Accelerate.” The event emphasized the importance of curiosity, continuous learning, and leveraging technology to create new opportunities for growth and innovation in Nigeria.



The fair featured a hackathon and a startup pitch competition, attracting numerous young talents eager to showcase their innovative ideas. Participants demonstrated creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges using technology.

Finalists of the competitions were not only awarded cash prizes but also gained entry into a mentorship and incubation programme designed to help them refine their ideas, scale their solutions, and grow their ventures into sustainable businesses. This initiative highlights the commitment to nurturing Nigeria’s next generation of tech leaders.

The Governor expressed his strong belief in the potential of Nigerian youth, emphasizing that events like these are critical for building a stronger, more innovative future. He underscored the role of government, private sector partnerships, and mentorship in supporting young innovators to succeed and contribute to national development.




By fostering creativity, innovation, and technological skills among young people, the Zenith Bank Tech Fair 5.0 and similar initiatives are creating a pipeline of skilled leaders and entrepreneurs.
