The session welcomed key stakeholders, including the Secretary-General of UN Tourism, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, and Nigeria’s former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. They were received by the Hon. Minister, Barr. Hannatu Musawa.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Aregbe emphasized Lagos State’s commitment to using innovation, youth engagement, and cultural revival to drive sustainable tourism.

He highlighted several initiatives by the Lagos Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture focused on empowering creatives, enhancing tourism infrastructure, and leveraging digital platforms to boost global visibility.

Aregbe further stressed the importance of cross-sector collaboration at both federal and continental levels to fully unlock the tourism sector’s potential.
