Lagos Education District II Excels At National Award Of Excellence

Lagos State Education District II has once again showcased its tradition of excellence as the Principal of Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School, Mrs. Buhari Vinuyon, emerged winner of the “Most Outstanding Educational Institution Administrator” award. The school also bagged the “Outstanding Educational Institution” award, affirming its position as one of Nigeria’s leading public schools in educational performance and ethics.

The prestigious recognition was conferred by the National Productivity Centre, Abuja, in partnership with the Leadership and Professional Ethics Consultants, during the recently concluded National Award of Excellence in Education ceremony, which celebrates individuals and institutions that exemplify integrity, innovation, and productivity in the education sector.
Upon her return, Mrs. Vinuyon received a warm reception at the Education District II Headquarters, where the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, commended her exceptional leadership. He praised the school’s consistent distinction and lauded the Principal, teachers, and students for their dedication and commitment to excellence.
Mr. Sanni encouraged the award-winning Principal to sustain the standards that earned her national recognition and to mentor other school leaders within the District.
He emphasized that the achievement should inspire others, reaffirming Education District II’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and productivity across all its schools.
He further emphasised that the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu remains resolute in eradicating drug-related activities among youths, as part of its broader sustainable development and community wellness agenda.

In her remarks, Mrs. Vinuyon expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the District leadership for their support. She dedicated the awards to her staff and students, highlighting that teamwork, discipline, and innovation were key to their success. She reaffirmed the school’s commitment to upholding excellence and making Education District II proud.
