During the visit, Pharm. Modupe expressed her satisfaction with the state of the facility, praising the neatness and orderly structure of the wards. She noted that the high standards at Ijede General Hospital are a testament to dedicated leadership and a workforce committed to the "Greater Lagos" vision for healthcare.
The first Christmas baby at the facility, a male named Okiki Omobolanle, was delivered via Cesarean Section at 12:45 am, weighing 2.8kg. He was followed by another male, baby Akingbile Damilola, delivered via C-section at 2:30 am weighing 4kg, and a third male, baby Sanni Nusirat, delivered through spontaneous vaginal delivery at 3:00 am.
The Governor’s representative emphasized that these visits are more than just a tradition; they underscore a deep commitment to maternal and child welfare. By celebrating these new lives, the state government reaffirms its promise to provide accessible and quality healthcare for the most vulnerable citizens.

The atmosphere at the hospital was one of joy and gratitude as mothers and staff thanked the Governor for his kindness. Pharm. Modupe concluded by encouraging all Lagosians to embrace the spirit of giving, reminding them that Christmas is ultimately about putting smiles on the faces of others.
