The Health District IV Workforce Team, led by Permanent Secretary Dr Abimbola Bowale, embarked on a comprehensive Monitoring, Supervision, and Evaluation Exercise across all Primary Healthcare Centres within its jurisdiction. The visit aimed to ensure that health programmes are effectively implemented and resources are optimally utilised towards improving healthcare services for all residents in the community.

During the inspections, the team assessed various health service activities, identified challenges, and provided on-the-spot recommendations to healthcare workers. Dr Bowale emphasised the importance of accountability and efficient resource management to boost service delivery.
Meanwhile, the District's Director of Medical Services and Disease Control, Dr OludolapoSotunde, advised healthcare workers to adopt the 5S Methodology in healthcare, to Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain, for cleanliness, efficiency, safety and to improve the workplace, to enhance the quality of healthcare services.
Dr Sotunde added that, by removing unnecessary items logically, maintaining cleanliness, establishing consistent procedures, and sustaining these practices over time, healthcare services can be enhanced to improve the quality of care for residents in their various communities.

This approach is expected to foster a more organised and hygienic environment, directly benefiting patient care. The visit reflects Health District IV's commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to community health needs through strategic oversight and practical interventions.
