In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Dr Dayo Lajide, emphasised that meaningful improvement in the health sector begins with mindset transformation and positive attitudinal change. She urged all staff to see the Service Charter not as a document, but as a daily commitment to how services are rendered and how patients are treated.

Dr. Lajide noted that professionalism, clear communication, respect for patients, and timely service are indicators that define the District’s reputation, reminding officers that “every interaction with a client is an opportunity to demonstrate who we are as a District.”

Participants also received additional guidance from Mrs Joan Olayemi of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Service Improvement Office, who highlighted key aspects of the Service Charter and its practical application across various service points.

They acknowledged the need for improved conduct, better information flow, and renewed dedication to duty as the District continues to align with the Lagos State Government’s drive for quality and citizen-centred healthcare.
