Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to British-Nigerian boxing icon Anthony Joshua and the families of two victims following a fatal road accident earlier today. The incident occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when a vehicle conveying Joshua’s four-man team collided with a stationary truck. While the boxing champion survived, the collision tragically claimed the lives of two individuals on the scene.

On behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State, Governor Sanwo-Olu extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, praying for divine strength to help them navigate this immense and painful loss. The Governor described the event as a tragedy that has touched the hearts of many, acknowledging the sudden nature of the accident that occurred during the busy end-of-year period.
