In his acceptance speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu dedicated the honor to the collective efforts of his administration and the stakeholders who have made Lagos a top investment destination. He noted that the award reflects the effectiveness of policies designed to improve the investment climate and drive sustainable development across the state. This recognition highlights the success of the state's long-term vision in attracting both domestic and foreign capital.

The Governor emphasized that the award is a nod to visionary economic governance, which prioritizes reforms that enable private-sector-led growth. He stated that the government’s focus remains on creating tangible outcomes, such as job creation, industry expansion, and meaningful social impact. By maintaining investor confidence through transparent policies, Lagos continues to strengthen its international partnerships and credibility as a trustworthy environment for innovation.

The theme of the event, “Trailblazers of a Rising Continent,” resonated deeply with the Governor’s message regarding Africa's current economic trajectory. He described the continent as rising on the shoulders of courageous innovators and entrepreneurs who are moving from ambition to impact. Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed that Lagos stands at the heart of this movement, serving as the economic nerve center of Nigeria and a beacon of resilience for the entire continent.
