Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially opened the 6th Lagos Real Estate Marketplace Conference, praising the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) for creating a vital bridge between government policy and private investment. The Governor emphasized that the conference theme aligns perfectly with the state’s current economic realities and its long-term urban development goals.

The Governor noted that the increasing influx of global investors is a testament to the international community's confidence in Lagos as a high-performing economy. He asserted that while Lagos is already a major global urban player, the current priority is ensuring that growth translates into liveable and sustainable environments for all residents.
Addressing the housing deficit, Sanwo-Olu stated that housing remains central to the state's development agenda, inextricably linked to energy, transportation, and infrastructure. The administration is focusing on strengthening regulations through LASRERA and encouraging public-private partnerships to make affordable housing a viable economic sector.
The Governor extended his gratitude to both local and international stakeholders whose collaborations are essential for driving innovation. He reiterated that these partnerships are the backbone of a city aiming for shared prosperity and technological advancement in the built environment.

In his closing remarks, the Governor assured investors that Lagos remains a safe and stable destination. He reminded attendees that building a true megacity goes beyond skyscrapers; it is about creating an inclusive city where the next generation can thrive and opportunity is accessible to every citizen.
