Gov. Sanwo-Olu Welcomes PwC Nigeria Leadership, Receives Lagos State Accounting Manual

The Lagos State Governor today welcomed the leadership team of PwC Nigeria, led by the Country Senior Partner, Mr. Sam Abu, to Lagos House, Marina. The visit marked another milestone in the State Government’s ongoing collaboration with private sector experts to strengthen governance and institutional efficiency across all levels.

During the visit, the PwC delegation presented the newly developed Lagos State Accounting Manual to the Governor. The manual represents a key step in promoting transparency, accountability, and sound financial management within the state’s public service. It is designed to standardize financial reporting, streamline accounting processes, and align the state’s fiscal operations with international best practices.
Governor Sanwo-Olu commended PwC Nigeria for their partnership and technical support in the development of the manual. He emphasized that the initiative underscores Lagos State’s commitment to building robust financial systems that foster integrity, efficiency, and public trust in government operations.
The Governor further noted that transparency and accountability remain at the heart of his administration’s vision for a Greater Lagos. He assured that the State Government would continue to strengthen institutional frameworks, improve capacity building among public officers, and adopt innovative solutions that enhance service delivery and financial discipline.

In his remarks, Mr. Sam Abu reaffirmed PwC Nigeria’s commitment to supporting Lagos State in achieving its developmental goals. He applauded the government’s forward-thinking approach and expressed confidence that the new accounting manual will serve as a model for other states in Nigeria, setting new standards in public financial governance.
