In a major boost for grassroots healthcare, Lagos State Health District V has successfully conducted a comprehensive medical outreach in Ganyingbo Age, a hard-to-reach community within the Badagry West LCDA.

The initiative targeted underserved residents who often face geographical barriers to quality medical care. By bringing doctors and essential supplies directly to the community, the state continues to fulfill its mandate of inclusive governance under the THEMES Plus Agenda.
Representing the Permanent Secretary of Health District V, Dr. Ahmad Amina Bello oversaw the deployment of diverse medical services. Residents received free consultations, blood pressure and sugar screenings, deworming for children, and the distribution of essential medications.
The outreach also featured intensive health education sessions, where medical personnel sensitized the public on the importance of regular check-ups and preventative lifestyle choices to combat chronic diseases.

The impact of the mission was deeply felt by the local population, with community leaders praising the government for prioritizing their welfare despite the difficult terrain. Dr. Bello reiterated that the District’s mission is to ensure that no Lagosian is excluded from the health safety net due to their location. This intervention marks a significant step in reducing health disparities and improving the overall quality of life for residents in the state’s most remote corridors.
