DR. Aletan Assumes Office As New Medical Directors, MCC Eti-Osa

The Maternal and Child Centre (MCC), Eti-Osa, has officially experienced a change in leadership as Dr. Olufemi Babatunde Aletan assumed duty as the new Medical Director, succeeding Dr. Taiwo Adeiyi. The handover marks a new chapter in the centre’s ongoing commitment to providing quality maternal and child healthcare services to residents of Lagos State.

The official handover ceremony was marked by an atmosphere of reflection and optimism. It commenced with prayers and goodwill messages from members of staff, setting a tone of unity and continuity. The Head of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Deborah Oluwafemi-Olulade, in her welcome remarks, commended the dedication and resilience of the hospital staff, urging them to sustain the spirit of teamwork and excellence that MCC Eti-Osa is known for.
In her address, Mrs. Oluwafemi-Olulade emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving the centre’s mission of providing efficient and compassionate healthcare. She reaffirmed that the commitment of every staff member remains crucial to advancing the Lagos State Government’s goal of improving maternal and child health outcomes across the state.
The outgoing Medical Director, Dr. Taiwo Adeiyi, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff for their unwavering support during his tenure. He highlighted key milestones achieved under his leadership, including improved patient care, infrastructural upgrades, and enhanced staff welfare. Dr. Adeiyi then formally handed over leadership documents to Dr. Aletan, symbolizing a smooth transition of responsibility..

The LSMTL boss concluded by urging women to ask vital questions about the quality of ongoing construction in their neighborhoods. She encouraged them to engage contractors, request proof of materials testing, and report suspected violations through the agency’s official channels. By taking on these roles, she affirmed, women can help build safer communities and ensure that Lagos’ urban growth stands firmly on strong, tested, and certified foundations.
