The spirit of gratitude and devotion resonated across Lagos State today as the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) observed its Annual Thanksgiving, a dual-location ceremony underscoring the organization's faith-driven commitment to public service. Led by the First Lady of Lagos State, the Christian arm of the event was held at The Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, drawing officials and their families together for a session of worship and reflection on the blessings of the past year.

Simultaneously, the Islamic observance was championed by Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, wife of the Deputy Governor, who led COWLSO members in their annual thanksgiving at the Lagos State Secretariat Mosque. This consistent dual approach highlights the state government's ethos of inclusivity and interfaith harmony, bringing together key figures in a unified expression of thanks to a higher power for guidance and progress.

COWLSO's thanksgiving is more than a religious observance; it serves as a crucial annual benchmark for the women-led organization. It is a moment of collective pause, reminding members of the progress made and strengthening their foundational values. The theme of gratitude, as noted by the committee, is deemed the 'seed from which greater blessings grow,' framing their past achievements as motivation for future endeavors.

The event reaffirms the wives of Lagos State officials' resolute dedication to their societal roles. By openly expressing thanks and renewing their spiritual vows, the organization fortifies its internal unity and revitalizes its mission. This annual ritual is designed to reinforce the committee’s commitment to serve the people of Lagos with heightened compassion, renewed purpose, and exemplary grace.

today's gathering sets a positive tone for the coming year, signaling COWLSO's continued role as a pillar of support and community development within the state. The synchronized worship sessions whether in the chapel or the mosque reiterate the shared vision of progress and service that drives the leadership of Lagos, ensuring that governance and compassion remain deeply intertwined.
