The Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) has reached a major milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever Alumni Association Executive Committee. During the ceremony held at the school’s conference hall, the Provost, Dr. Walid Adebosin, called on graduates to play an active role in the institution’s future growth.

Dr. Adebosin emphasized that the survival and impact of the association depend on the "physical and financial visibility" of its members. He reminded the newly minted executives that as a lifelong union of graduates, the association is morally bound to contribute to the community and support the college’s ongoing development.

The inaugural President, Dr. Fatmo Molayajo, accepted the mantle of leadership with a promise to work as a development partner with the school management. Her administration has already outlined ambitious goals, including a scholarship program for indigent students to ensure no scholar is left behind due to financial hardship.

A major focus for the new executive team will be the improvement of campus infrastructure. Dr. Molayajo announced plans to collaborate with school authorities to increase the number of student hostels and upgrade existing facilities, creating a more conducive environment for learning and academic excellence.

Looking toward 2026, the association has pledged its full support for the college’s drive to achieve accreditation for Higher National Diploma (HND) programs. By acting as a bridge between the students and the administration, the alumni association aims to elevate LASCOCO’s status as a premier institution for cooperative studies in Nigeria.
