Taking a bus in Lagos is an experience on its own. You may enter thinking you are simply going from one place to another, but along the way, you will meet different kinds of people.

Some are quiet, some are very social, while others have their own interesting ways of handling a bus journey. After a while, you begin to recognise these familiar characters.

Here are 10 types of people you are likely to meet on a Lagos bus.

1. The Person Who Sleeps Throughout the Journey

This person can sleep almost immediately after sitting down.

It does not matter if the bus is noisy or the road is rough. Once they find a comfortable position, they are gone.

The interesting part is that they somehow wake up when the bus gets close to their stop. No one needs to remind them.

2. The Person Who Knows Every Road

There is always someone on the bus who seems to know the best route.

If the driver takes one road, they will say there is another route that is faster. If there is traffic, they already know another road to use.

Sometimes, they are right. Other times, the driver simply continues driving.

3. The Talkative Passenger

You can sit beside this person without saying a word, but before long, a conversation has started.

They may ask where you are going, complain about the traffic or talk about something happening in Lagos.
