TG/PS Education District II Holds Strategic Meeting With Principals Of Model Colleges

In a renewed effort to strengthen educational standards and uphold the legacy of excellence in Lagos State, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layewo Sanni, convened a strategic meeting with the Principals of Model Colleges within the District. The meeting, held at the District headquarters, was designed to explore innovative approaches to enhancing school administration, promoting academic excellence, and addressing key challenges affecting Model Colleges.

Speaking on behalf of the Principals, Mrs. Oluyinka Soyoye, Principal of Eva Adelaja Girls Senior Secondary School, commended the TG/PS for his proactive leadership and continuous engagement with stakeholders in the education sector. She highlighted several pressing issues facing Model Colleges, including infrastructural deficits, staffing shortages, and the need for improved welfare and support systems for both staff and students. She appealed for the District’s intervention in these areas to further strengthen the productivity and effectiveness of the schools.
Mrs. Soyoye also reaffirmed the unwavering loyalty and commitment of the Principals to the administration of Mr. Sanni. She emphasized their readiness to collaborate closely with the District leadership in implementing strategic goals and sustaining the reputation of Education District II as a model of academic and administrative excellence in Lagos State.
In his response, Mr. Sanni expressed satisfaction with the dedication, professionalism, and administrative competence demonstrated by the Principals. He commended their consistent efforts in maintaining the high standards expected of Model Colleges and urged them to remain innovative, disciplined, and forward-thinking in their leadership roles. He further encouraged them to embrace technology-driven approaches and inclusive management practices in tackling emerging educational challenges.

The TG/PS reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to operating an inclusive and participatory system where every stakeholder’s input is valued in the collective pursuit of educational advancement. He assured that the District will continue to create an enabling environment that promotes effective teaching, student discipline, and holistic development across all schools. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the Principals expressing renewed enthusiasm, optimism, and a strengthened resolve to work collaboratively for greater success under the dynamic leadership of the TG/PS.
